DAY 1

Stirling Castle
The first stop on this journey is Stirling, once the Capital of Scotland. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Castle or to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the Old Town at your own pace. Our expert tour guides will tell you all about the dramatic past of this city and enthral you with the tales of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots.

Trossachs National Park
The tour takes you to the Trossachs National Park. The first stop along the way is near Callander, where you come face to face with our national mascots: the Highland Cows, with their funny fringes and their kind nature.

The Highlands
We stop for lunch in a quaint town of the Highlands. Here there’s something for everybody: from a sandwich from the local grocery shop to a proper sit-down lunch.
The landscape of the Highlands will be showing itself in all its glory from this moment onward: all around you’ll see dramatic valleys (that we call Glens and Straths), Lochs, mountains and what’s left of the Caledonian Forest.

Glencoe
Next stop is beautiful Glencoe. This valley is as beautiful as it’s got the most tragic past you could ever imagine. No spoilers at this stage – just make sure to ask your tour guide on the day what happened there!

Fort William
The tour then takes you to Fort William, where you’ll see the highest mountain of Britain and Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express Train at the Train Station.

Drop off
You’ll spend the night at your chosen accommodation provider on the Isle of Skye.

DAY 2

Fairy Pools
We begin our journey with a drive to the Fairy Pools in the shadow of the Cuillin Mountains. The pools are located in one of the most dramatic landscapes on Skye. Here you have 1 hour to leisurely stroll to the Pools.

Talisker Distillery
We move on to Talisker Distillery based in Carbost, producing a lovely Peated Single Malt Scotch. Here you can enjoy a nose around the Visitor Centre and a taste a dram or 2 if you fancy (this is a brief stop only, so we will not do a tour of the Distillery).

Dunvegan Castle
At Dunvegan you can enjoy the visit of the mighty MacLeod’s castle, a splendid fortress built on an elevated rock overlooking an inlet on the eastern shore of Loch Dunvegan, a sea loch.

Fairy Glen
Folklore goes that the Fairy Glen is the most important meeting place of the fairies on Skye. Wander between countless conical mounds, known in the Highlands as fairy knowes; put your ears to the grass and listen for the fairies at work inside. Bend down to search for elves in the glen’s miniature forests, take the twisted path to the top of the fairy castle, or walk the faun’s maze and have a wish granted!

Quiraing
We take the opportunity to drive right up to the Trotternish ridge at the Quiraing, lying in the far North of Skye. The Quiraing is a landscape used in many sci-fi films, known for its wonderful rock formations and stunning coastal views. This is a place like no other, part of the largest landslip in Europe.

Kilt Rock
Kilt Rock is home to the dinosaurs of Skye’s ancient past. It will take your breath away with its distinctive pillars and beautiful waterfall with views across to the Torridon Hills on the mainland.

Old Man of Storr
We drive South and reach the Old Man of Storr, probably the most iconic natural feature of the Isle of Skye. The ridge is a mighty inland cliff, the longest in the UK, rising to a height of 720m. The Old Man is a 200ft stone pillar, which has detached itself from the highest point of the ridge, creating a fantastical landscape of twisted rocks, looming shadows and swirling mists, film location for, among others, Ridley Scott’s 2012 “Prometheus”.

We drop you off at the accommodation provider of your choice.

DAY 3

Eilean Donan Castle
The first visit of the day is the mighty Eilean Donan Castle, without any doubt, the most photographed castle of Scotland. Here you’ll learn all about the conflicts between the mainland Clans and the Lords of the Isles, as well as the adventures of Saint Donan.

Loch Ness
From here we move to Loch Ness. Its reputation is such that we don’t feel like adding anything else as of yet. At Loch Ness you’ll have the opportunity to get your binoculars out of your rucksack and try to spot Nessie from the Loch’s banks, or hop on a boat for a scenic wee cruise.

Pitlochry
Journey continues to Pitlochry, in the heart of the Perthshire. Pitlochry is a quaint Victorian town where you can find plenty of shops and diner places, as well as a huge dam with Salmon ladder. Yes, you read it right, in the right season of the year, you can actually get to see salmon jumping up the ladder to go back where they were born to lay their eggs. No, don’t pack your fishing rod, please, lol.

Firth of Forth 3 Bridges
We drive South and before getting back to Edinburgh, you will be met with views of the three bridges that cross the Firth of Forth.

This exciting 3-day tour ends in Edinburgh where it started.
